Behind The Scenes

Here is a little taster (behind the scenes phone pics) of a recent editorial I styled. I had been inspired by the Zahiah Alawneh's work and her blog http://mythsofstyle.tumblr.com/. Originally the plan was to keep the colour palate, nude, gold and black but couldn't resist using Jousianne Prop's sheer black piece with neon lace under-dress. The knit raffia dress was another piece I was desperate to shoot, it is one of Emma Beaumont's graduate pieces I love how it photographs, the fabric looks so different to how it feels.

I was working with the talented Layla Sailor and Paula Maxwell and assisted by the ultra efficient, queen of keeping me organised, Gemma Latham. Our models were Frankie at Industry People and Vera at Boss Model Management.

Now I just have to be patient and wait for Layla to get back form her trip to Berlin and edit them :).

The Lovely Tanya

Here is a very small taster of the shoot that I worked on with the amazing Kayti Peschke last month. I can't reveal any other images from it until the next issue of STYLEetc comes back from the printers. We shot it on one of the very rare sunny days this Summer and I roped in an old uni friend, the talented, Celia O'Donnell to help with the floral arrangements. This floral hat was inspired by an old-ladyesque, floral swimming hat which is on one of the mannequins in Selfridges. Tanya is one of my favourite models, I worked with her on my second ever test shoot so it was great to get to style her again now I am more experienced. I can't wait to blog with the rest of the images and see them in print.

Catwoman

For the last issue of STYLEetc magazine, Kayti Peschke shot Natalie Shingler in the gorgeous Peckforton castle. One of the inspirations behind the styling of this shoot was the glamour of an upper class party girl (masked balls etc.).With the gorgeous pout created by Paula Maxwell, Natalie is a look-alike for Anne Hathaway in the latest Batman film. The editorial was shot back in March so the whole Catwoman thing was a complete co-incidence!
